Beaches of Koroni
Zaga beach with its beautiful golden sandy beach, which starts from the southern foot of the castle and extends for several kilometers to the west, is the most popular swimming spot in Koroni. Along it there are taverns, rental rooms and beach bars.
The western extension of Zaga beach is called Memi and is equally beautiful, with golden sand and crystal-clear waters. It is one of the beaches of the southern Peloponnese where every year, after May, Caretta Caretta turtles migrate to reproduce.
The organized beach of Peroulia and the unorganized beaches of Ammoudi, Kalamaki, Agia Triada, Agios Nikolaos and Kryoneri are also worth visiting. Actually, the latter, is one of the most extraordinart beaches of the region, as crystal clear drinking water gushes from the sand.
